Our task was both simple and complex. “Here is an empty space - put a cocktail bar in it”. It was worded with more nuance, but you get the idea.
M&L Hospitality had an under-utilised heritage space in their Hyatt Regency property in Sydney. We were tasked with conceptualising and delivering a unique cocktail, that was more than a hotel bar.
The final concept was based around traveling botanists. Magnus Design Office and its partners created the F&B concept, brand strategy and delivery, food & beverage menus, staff training and interior direction. It went on to win Best New hotel bar in Australia the year it launched in 2019.
